I have a couple of Grackles coming to my small feeder in wilder which struck me as not REALLY looking like Grackles I'm used to seeing.. One is quite splotchy looking with dark around the head, very bright yellow eyes, and dark patches on the rusty coloring on its body. I've never seem a Rusty Bb in person, but assumed they were the size and shape of a Red-winged BB. It SEEMS the size of a bluejay, roughly. But they won't share my little feeder so hard to know for sure!
I was thinking it's probably too early for Rustys to be coming back through anyway, but wonder if there's any chance that's what this could be? (Not sure if i should change plans and stay ready At the window with Binos!)
