A pileated keeps his/her rounds by visiting our Oriental cherry regularly, landing in the branches a few feet from our picture window, nibbling on a cherry or two, and leaving with its characteristic graceful arc and raucous call.
A brilliant red treat on an otherwise cold grey day.
