A pair of Pileated Woodpeckers entertained me today from about 15’ away along the Mascoma Greenway, East of the TD bridge. Also enjoyed watching a preening Wood Duck and a sunning Painted Turtle, within 2’ of each other, on an exposed log in the small “frog”pond behind the cinema building. The Green Frogs were loudly calling, entertaining the two of them.

My glasses kept fogging up though, when my mask 😷 went back up.
The sacrifices we have to make for this birding habit!
