Janet and I have seen a Red Bellied Woodpecker at the feeders here at the farm the past few days. How common an occurrence is that? It’s definitely hungry. The mix it keeps going back to is the Concerto mix from Blue Seal with shelled sunflowers mixed in.

We are pretty sure we identified 2 Lapland Longspurs in their non breeding plumage enjoying the weed seeds of our open fields.

Finally, I guess we have around 10 regulars at our feeders.

We wish you all a safe winter and remember we will be cross country ski grooming the trails we bird in the spring. You are all welcome.
Tim and Janet
