Driving towards Hanover from Norwich last night at 17:45 I had an owl
fly over the hood of my car from left to right- heading south towards
the trees that surround Blood Brook, I was about 250m before the first
set of lights and the 91s and route 5 intersection- approximately
where the Norwich town sign used to be...i saw the bird swoop over the
guard rail, based on size and range maps I am guessing Barred Owl, but
I'm not certain. Just wanted to give a heads up to any Norwich/Hanover
Christmas Bird Counters out there (Jan 1st) that this might be a good
place to look for an owl.
