Yesterday in Cornish, NH I had an unusual viewing of a Great crested
flycatcher hopping around in the my newly turned garden soil, grabbing
up bugs! They always seem to be at the uppermost reaches of the highest
tree, so to see it tamely grubbing in the dirt was a bit of a shock.
