Doug and members,
Last year we had a white pigeon come to our yard. We were able to
capture it using a box tipped up with a stick/dowel with string attached.
We put food, cracked corn in a dish, to attract it. You need to know the
full number on the band in order to find the owner. It may be a racing
pigeon that strayed off course. NH Audubon had a page on their website:
www.nhaudubon.org/naturalist/bandedbird.htm. Also try www.npausa.com.
Hope this helps.
Joyce
