Today (Nov. 7) Ed Hack and I found 22 bird species along the
Connecticut River from Pompy in Norwich south to Kilowatt Park in
Wilder. A highlight was seeing three immature Bald Eagles together
with two mature Red-tailed Hawks all flying at the same time this
morning at Pompy. Ravens were numerous near Pompy with the largest
aggregation containing 15 birds. Waterfowl today included Canada
Geese, Wood Ducks, Mallards, Hooded Mergansers, and one female Common
Merganser. Landbirds at Wilder included a flock of six robins, a
flock of six American Tree Sparrows, and a Song Sparrow.
