I think that would be unusual but very interesting. As a warden in Vermont I had many call of hawks and peregrines killed hitting windows etc. Normally grouse, or at most a hawk of some sort. But I did have one time, it was a peregrine, chasing a bird and broke it's neck hitting a wood pile. It was many years ago before the peregrines had been as well re-stablished. I said it wouldn't be one, but it was. Tried to never say never, even with catamounts. In the 70's there was one them up in Greensboro on a chain, in possession of the Hell's Angels. But that's not a birding story.
