While walking the dog around 8:30 in West Norwich I heard a repeated call, middle high pitch repeated at slightly less than one second intervals, the seemed to fade off after a dozen times. I heard this a few times from one direction and then two calls a bit quieter from another direction. It sounded like a recording of a northern saw whet owl. One was seen in this general area 20 years ago, but they don’t seem to be too common. If I hadn’t heard it in two directions I would have though a neighbor had some sort of toy horn. Do you folks have any ideas what else this might be?

 Wayne
