There was a male Northern Pintail in the open water outflow of the Mascoma River, most easily seen from the Mascoma Waterfront Park in Enfield. Park and walk toward town on the rail trail. It was hanging out with a small number of mallards and black ducks.
At the Wilder Reservoir: buffleheads, goldeneyes, ring-necks, a couple of hooded mergs and two scaup - 1 male Lesser and a female Greater. They were not assorting as a pair, but when they happened to be in close proximity, the body size difference, head shape, and bill size provided a nice comparison.
