We had only a couple hummingbirds this summer until now. They are the last birds to see in the evening dusk, zipping around. This year’s babies? Migrants? They empty the feeder every day. Our neighbor saw one bat recently. None for us so far. Off topic, but would be interested to know how bats are doing. We did have abundant catbirds. Must have been multiple successful nests. Some still calling, along with pewee, red-eyed vireo, song sparrow. Goose Pond had 2 loon nests with total of three successful young loons this year (some years zero).
