From 6:30 to 9 AM on Saturday April 27, 2019, Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon is to hold a bird walk along the New Hampshire side of the Connecticut River to look for spring migrants. This walk, cosponsored by the Hanover Conservancy and Upper Valley Land Trust, is free and open to the public. Meet to carpool at 6:30 AM in the southwest corner of the parking lot of the Sheridan Corporation on Route 10 just north of Hanover's Richmond School. We'll be stopping at Wilson's Landing and then going northward along River Road, through Hanover and then Lyme, towards Grant Brook. Please bring binoculars and, if available, a spotting scope. Participants should be prepared to walk up to a half mile over level terrain and wear footgear suitable for traversing short wet grass. Beginning birders as well as more experienced ones are very much welcome.

Late April presents numerous possibilities for encountering both migrant and summer resident birds, and we look forward to seeing which of those we can find.
