This afternoon we were driving on River Road going toward Lyme from Hanover. On the river, I noticed three large white buoys. As I was wondering why anyone would put them out so close together, all three "buoys" extended three very long white necks! They were Mute Swans, which I have not seen since I left Massachusetts 6 years ago.

On the drive back from Thetford several hours later, we saw no sign of them. I will be interested to see if anyone else sees them in the area.
