In the area of Foley Park (by the Ledyard Bridge), two Wood Ducks were
outnumbered by 18 Mallards.

Highlights today at Pompy included a female Common Merganser with
seven young, a calling Willow Flycatcher, a Cliff Swallow in a nest,
and a Barn Swallow feeding young at its nest.

Although most of the fields around the southern end of Hogback Road
have recently been mowed, at least one singing Savannah Sparrow was
heard and a male Bobolink seen.
