Today at lunchtime, we watched a Red Squirrel drape itself around our hummingbird feeder, then spend 2-3 whole minutes tipping the feeder so that it could drink from the flower holes. Is the drought making it so thirsty that it tries sugar water? Has anyone ever seen this behavior before?
