Lots of rainy-day ducks on the river today, although only a female
long-tailed at Ledyard was particularly exciting (seen ~1445). Sightings
of this species typically increase towards the end of October, but not
many have been seen yet this year in VT or NH. Wood ducks were
especially abundant. Selected highlights below for a few locations.
