Running errands this AM, I stopped at the Murphy Farm on Lake Pineo in Queechee. I saw two white-ish birds fly into scruffy trees along the bank. They perched long enough for me to find my binos out and get a pretty good look. They were still there when I left 15 minutes later.
These are the first I've seen this year and in an un-expected place. When I have seen them in the past, it's been many bird in flocks flying over fallow hayfields.
