Today was the second time I observed a white bird just north of the Cornish-Windsor Bridge. The first time I saw it I thought it might be stray seagull but it flew into the woods on the New Hampshire side of the river. Today it perched in a tree on the river side of the road. Unfortunately both times I saw the bird I was driving in traffic on the narrow section of 12A before the bridge and unable to stop or turn around in time. The best description I can give is the bird is about the size of a red tail hawk, in flight looks like a raptor and may have single dark vertical bars on the top of the wings.
