On this morning's Windsor County 2012 Birding Quest walk conducted
under excellent November weather conditions, 20 participants found
more than 35 species in the vicinity of Lake Runnemede in Windsor, VT
Among the highlights were 520 Canada Geese, 11 American Black Ducks, 6
Mallards, 15 Ring-necked Ducks, a female Black Scoter, 5 Buffleheads,
2 Hooded Mergansers, 2 Bald Eagles, a pair of Red-bellied Woodpeckers,
a Winter Wren, American Pipits, a Fox Sparrow, and 15 Common Redpolls.

After the Windsor walk, several participants continued on for a stop
at the Kilowatt Park South boat launch area in Wilder (a section of
Hartford, VT) where highlights included more than a dozen scaup (at
least some of which were Greaters), a female Black Scoter, a female
Bufflehead, a male Common Goldeneye, a Pied-billed Grebe, and Red-
tailed Hawk.

Again, special thanks to Spencer Hardy for compiling eBird lists.
