When one big database becomes faulty will we not be able to access the pictures by Command-clicking on the icon in Finder? Inside the package is a folder called "Data.noindex" where the photos are stored. If this folder can be accessed then all we have to do is to create a new database and import or drag and drop the pictures into the new database.

Just curious Erik, what is it that you don’t like in iPhoto?

I myself found it increasingly difficult to drag pictures from a newly imported event into another, older event and having to scroll up and down to find the right event. I was going to look for an alternative program… until I realized that one has to go to Events > Open in Separate Window in order to be able to easily navigate in the main Events window without loosing sight of the pictures one wants to move. It’s easy once you know the trick.
