Hello,

When I open a .rtf file or a text file in NWP that I did not create  
myself (files I downloaded from the Internet, for example) what will  
then determine the format of the file and what Nisus styles will I  
have in it?

Remember? There used to be a file in Nisus Classic called “Nisus Text  
Stationery” whose sole purpose was to determine the format and styles  
of such files and this template could be easily edited. Now that I  
have not seen any such template or stationery file in NWP I wonder  
whether Nisus users are basically not able to influence this process  
anymore, i.e. how the file will look like and which styles it will  
have when they open it for the first time.

I have just saved a mail from Apple Mail in Richt Text Format (.rtf)  
to the desktop now. When I open it in NWP it has no Character Styles  
and no Note Styles; List Styles are Bullet List, Headings, Number  
List and Tiered List, and Paragraph Styles are Footer, Header and –  
strange enough – a styled called “Normal_Icel” which seems to be a  
style I created for Nisus New File.

How did my style get in there? And why are the other styles in my  
Nisus New File *not* there???
