If Times and AmharicLA are the only two fonts in the file, and the latter can't be loaded, one way to select all text in AmharicLA is to do a Find All of Times. Then, while all text in Times is selected, from the Edit:Select menu, apply Invert Selection. This command will select all text that is not in Times.
