Hei all you allknowing anywhere.:-)

OK, the problem is as follows....
I've made a template with all settings set as they should be and with
Arial 14p (Arial.otf) as the default font. The only difference between
this template and the default 'Nisus New File' template is that there is
inserted a 'header banner' at the top of the page 1 (not in the page
header field). This picture is a banner of size 260x80pxl.

- When I copy & paste text from a webpage, the font always change to
Helvetica 12p, though I've set my browser (SeaMonkey) only to use Arial
and always to use my fonts.

- If I copy & paste text from Firefox (latest ver.) which also is set to
only use my font settings - Arial 16p as default, - the text in the NWP
document with the banner, text always change to Times 12p.

- If I copy from Firefox and paste into the default 'Nisus New File'
text always change to Helvetica 12p - never Arial...

- If I copy a text from another document with nearly any kind of sans
serif font (incl. Helvetica), the pasted text will always show up in
Arial, - size may sometimes vary from 12p to 14p or 14p to 12p.

- When I then insert a picture somewhere on a page, making a section and
often 2 columns, and then again paste some more text after end of
section - either from a webpage or from another document, the font
_always_ change to Times 12p.

OK, I then tried to let the page be 'open' - i.e. without any kind of
sections or paragraphs or any other formattings - until the last setup
process, - just inserted the pictures where they should occour in the
bodytext. - Consequently _any_ text pasted after a picture show up in
Times 12p - no matter what font is used and no matter which size is used
in the original text.

OK, next step... Deleted all Nisus prefs and made new 'Nisus New File'
templates.... All to no aveal - the exact same happens - again...

Any idea of what's wrong? - My only idea is, - when I copy a text from a
webpage, I also then copy some hidden tags that tell the font to be
changed back to the default Times 12p (default on the webpage), because
this is the most used font on most webpages. - Because when I set the
fonts on the web to be Arial, I then of course only put a 'shell' upon
the existing real text written in Times...

For safety reasons I have also made the same experiments with OpenOffice
3.2 making some templates, and the exact same happens in OOo Writer!

So the problem isnot in neither OpenOffice or NisusWriter Pro... but where?

The Arial fonts used are
- Arial.otf
   (system built-in, OS X 10.4.x, 10.5.x)
- Arial MT.tt ver. 2.65.2
(Mac TT font from MS TrueType Initial Fonts Package 1999, upd. 2001)
- ArialUnicodeMS.ttf
   (full-featured MS UTF-8/UTF-16 font)

Hard-/software
- MacPro QuadCore 2,66ghz, 9gb RAM,
     OS X 10.5.8 (main system), 10.5.7 (developer system) &
     10.4.11 (clean test system)
- PowerBook G4/1,67ghz, 1gb RAM, OS X 10.5.8
- NisusWriter Pro 1,4 (MacPro / PB G4)
- OpenOffice 3.2.0/Intel (MacPro)
- OpenOffice 3.2.0/PPC (PB G4)
- SeaMonkey 1.1.18 (MacPro)
- Firefox 3.6.x (MacPro / PB G4)
- SeaMonkey 2.0.3 (PB G4)

- Both OpenOffice Writer and NWP set to use Arial.otf 14p as
   default fonts
- SeaMonkey 1.1.18 and Firefox 3.6 on the MacPro set to use
   Arial 16p as default font
- SeaMonkey 2.0.3 and Firefox 3.6 on the PB set to use
   ArialUnicodeMS.ttf 16p as default fonts.

Cheers, Erik Richard
