I also experienced the problem you report. In fact, that was much more frequent in the first versions of NWP. Now, this occurs not so frequently, and occurs only when the layout is particularly complicated (with many long notes -- I practically never use images in my NWP files). But as you say, it is extremely difficult to reproduce the phenomenon.
