I designated Palatino font there only because it has all characters necessary for Arabic transliteration and is a system font installed by default.

Perhaps some of you may find Cochineal font looking better. It is a free font having a large number of latin-based accented characters, which can be used for transliteration of various non-latin writing systems. It supports Greek and Cyrillic, too.
