I understand you very well, this hierarchical Finder based organization is also the way I find most transparent and natural, and it’s easy to find all items with Spotlight. Therefore I’m having certain problems with programs such as DEVONthink Pro Office, EagleFiler, Papers2 and others which require that you import items into their database. The items are often stored in places where Spotlight cannot find them and that is a big drawback, I find.
