I have done all that you suggest and I now get this on my web page:

But then nothing.

The printer is in sleep mode and whereas the usb interface wakes it up, here I am getting no reaction from the printer.

The page: http://localhost:631/printers/Xerox_Xerox_Phaser_8560N

allows several maintenance options eg print test page but there is no reaction from the printer.
