I have an idea why it does not work by me. I presume the weak point are the last two characters in the line

Maybe these two characters were not created correctly by me. They were created by pressing Alt + the key next to the delete key on the German keyboard. I suppose the character value is preserved so you can test it by *copying* the line and use it in your macro. And maybe it is important whether I use curly quotes or not. In Nisus I dont use any curly quotes, but Smart Quotes are activated in the Language and Text pane in the System Preferences. I dont know if that is of any importance.
How did *you* create those two characters?
