I had major problems when I updated to Yosemite and I couldn’t open Mail. In the end, the solution was the creation of a new user on my Mac. In moving the mail across from one user to another, I lost a lot of mail - which is not on any server. 

I have just updated to Nisus Writer 2.1 and it can’t find my licence. What did I do wrong? Is the licence anywhere on my computer?
