The good thing with tables is that you can create a table with 1
column and 1 row only and that column can be dragged with the mouse
to the left and to the right within one line AND – to some extent –
up and down just as if it were a text box. But it has limitation: You
can't combine free text and a table on the same line; if one needs
something like that, one must split the table into more than one column.

I haven't yet discovered the trick how to use Columns and Section
Tools to simulate text boxes. The problem I encounter is that the
"boxes" you simulate that way have a "pipeline", i.e. you have to
fill one box (= column) with text before the text can flow to the
next one.

Send me a screen-shot off list when you have time.
