>Subject: OCR programs for Arabic
>To: LLTI-Editor <[log in to unmask]>

Hello all,

Does anyone have any ideas for inexpensive solutions for OCR'ing a
document in Arabic? I have a patron who wishes to put a document in
Arabic in Google translator and then clean it up the English
translation (Arabic is his native language).

I checked online and it looks like decent OCR programs cost around
$1500. Do you have any other ideas?

Thank you all,
Tina
