I'm running 9.2 and have Chinese and Hebrew installed, but my Chinese runs
left to right.  I suspect that the problem is a preference setting in
Chinese.  Chinese traditionally can run from right to left, which means
that if you go to the Chinese input method and choose "Preferences" from
the pencil menu (after choosing "Show Engish menu"), there will probably
be an option to change direction.  My Chinese isn't good enough to
actually read the preference options, though.
