In FMP 11, when you select text, or the contents of a field, the default highlight color seems to be a very dark blue, while the text itself remains black, which is very hard to read. In FMP 8, the highlight was black, but the text changed to white, which was much better. Is there some way of changing the highlight color for selected text? I can't seem to find it.

On a Mac, the highlight color is set under the "Appearance" pane under "System Preferences", so I'm assuming there's some Windows equivalent of it. It's an OS function in any event, not something controlled by FMP.
