Dear Fellow FileMaker Fanatics,
As mentioned on the last FileMaker Talk podcast, Dave Ramsey has created a tool that gives the developer access to the field metadata on a layout. It is called FMXRaySpecs, and can very quickly tell you all about your script triggers, conditional formatting, find settings, tab layers and much more. This can save a lot of time when trying to decipher complex layouts and find errant triggers and such. Take a moment to check this out:

FileMaker Talk podcast with Matt Navarre, John Sindelar and Todd Geist
(they talk mainly about GoZynk--which is an interesting discussion of itself--but have a brief discussion of FMXRaySpecs near the end):

As it is heavily dependent on AppleScript, PC users will want to buy a Mac just to be able to use this tool!
[Full disclosure: I occasionally work for Mr. Ramsey, and I helped Beta test this tool, but it is just SO useful that I had to tell y'all all about it.]
