Have you heard Lupe Fiasco's new single? The Words I Never Said? If you have not, you should. The song exemplifies the ability of artist to use their forms of art to send a political message.

"Your child's future was the first to go with budget cuts,
If you think that hurts, then wait here comes the uppercut,
The school was garbage in the first place, that's on the up and up."

What are other ways that art makes a political statement?
Ever thought that the graffiti on the wall was someone's way of making a statement?

What about spoken word or rap? Are they just words or a way of making a policial statement?
In what ways could we learn from these methods of art and use them to become more politically active on campus?

You want anwers? We can provide just that. Come to our meeting this THURSDAY at 5!
Where you ask? LALACS!
When? THURSDAY! AT 5!
WHY? Why not? And Lupe Fiasco would be happy if you use your words to make a political statement.
