APPLY, APPLY, APPLY!
West Virginia Environmental Justice Alternative Spring Break (ASB)

Mountaintop removal (MTR) coal mining is one of the most environmentally destructive
methods of fossil fuel extraction in existence. It has been called "strip mining
on steroids", but more than environmental devastation, the practice has significantly
contributed to the ongoing impoverishment of some of America's poorest communities.
This Alternative Spring Break trip will investigate these and other environmental
justice issues in the rural Appalachian region of West Virginia.

Applications are due by Wednesday, October 20 by blitz to ASB. Blitz 'ASB' or
James Kim if you have any questions!

Climate Work in the Academic World
Mid-November
We will need help with advertising and any connections with/recommendations of
professors who are active in the world of climate change that would be great.
We're looking to have professors present on the research they're doing and help
guide students who want to explore the issue through academic work in the future.
