*Interested in getting out of Hanover for a weekend to go to Washington, DC?
*Ever wanted to meet other students who are crazy excited about sustainability?
*Curious what it would be like to actually lobby in the offices of your Congressmen?

Powershift 2011 is a youth climate conference put on by the Energy Action Coalition
that takes place every two years in Washington, DC. With a ton of workshops and
lots of networking opportunities, Powershift is an awesome way to meet other young
people who are excited about solving environmental issues through political activism.
More importantly, the conference concludes with Lobby Day, when every participant
has the chance to lobby in the offices of their elected Congressional representatives
to ensure that their voices are being heard. The keynote speakers in years past
have been incredible, including EPA administrator Lisa Jackson, Senator Ed Markey,
and Obama's environmental advisor, Van Jones. Two years ago, Powershift 2009 drew
over 12,000 youth from across the country, 48 of which were Dartmouth students.
This year, we are looking for an even bigger turnout, and we want YOU to help
us out!

So if you...
a) Want the chance to actually tell your elected representatives how you feel
about environmental issues
b) Are excited about learning from 12,000 other young adults and influential speakers
who want to make a major change in our world
c) Just feel like escaping the freezing temperatures of Hanover for a life-changing
weekend of political activism

Then join us for an informational meeting:
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 17th
6:30 pm, Collis 101
Food will be served!!

Already been to Powershift? Positive that you want to go? Off this term, but still
interested? Then blitz Sarah Alexander with your name so you can be added to the
list of other awesome Dartmouth kids who are psyched about going!
