Event: (EPIC) FRANCONIA RIDGE HIKE
Time: 8:00am - 9:30pm
Cost: $4 for DOC members, $6 for non-members + $8 for nommy Lodge dinner!
Description / Difficulty level: FRANCONIA RIDGE IS BEAUTIFUL. This 9ish mile
hike offers an incredible panorama view of the Whites for quite a while, as the
ridge sits happily above treeline. The plan is to leave from behind Robinson
Hall at about 8:00am and hike (during which we will glory in the beauty of
fall, skip among the rocks, and sing with friends). We will have a super
awesome dinner at the Lodge at 6:30pm and then make our way back to Hanover,
bodies and hearts content. :]
This is a fairly difficult hike, so it would be good to be in decent shape, but
