WHY LIBERTARIANISM?

Why voluntary taxes, abolition of the welfare state and complete personal freedom?

Meir Kohn, Professor of Economics, will justify the libertarian viewpoint and explain how he became a libertarian, followed by a Q&A-session.

ROCKEFELLER CENTER 001
7:00-8:30 pm
TONIGHT (Thursday, Jan 13th)

Refreshments from MURPHY'S from 6:30, accompanied by informal chitchat (or heated debate) before the talk.

Born in Czechoslovakia in 1946, Professor Kohn received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Ph.D in Economics from MIT. He has worked as a visiting professor at various universities in the Czech Republic, Italy, Canada, Israel, Taiwan and Sweden, as well as at UCLA, Boston University and UC Berkeley; he has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, and most importantly, as Professor of Economics at Dartmouth since 1979.
