Greetings from Students For Africa!

If you identify as
*African (regardless of your place of birth or upbringing) or as
*Someone interested in the cultural heritage of Africa, or as
*Someone interested in advocacy or development work in Africa,
JOIN US by blitzing "africa".
We are in the process of expanding and growing as an organization and would like
to extend a campus wide invitation to all students interested in being an agent
of change on the African continent.

Our mission is two-fold:
*To raise awareness about the issues affecting these regions as well as working
towards solving these issues of social justice and development.
*To be equally concerned with the culture of Africa and the African diaspora on
the continent and at Dartmouth.

Many of our members are currently working on social justice projects in Ghana,
Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Many members choose to volunteer as a group and together we hope to create meaningful
change.

If you are at all interested in joining these innovative objectives or sharing
your experience of Africa with the rest of the campus, please blitz "africa" to
join. We'd love to have you!

We have included SFA's current mission statement for your convenience.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

The SFA Community.

Students For Africa works to represent and be the face of Africa on the Dartmouth
campus. Our main goals are:
- To raise awareness about the issues affecting these regions as well as working
towards solving these issues of social justice and development. We use awareness
campaigns, fundraising events, dinners and discussions to achieve our main goal.

- To be equally concerned with the culture of Africa. SFA has a social component
that is used to raise awareness and funds, promote recruitment/membership and
showcase culture.
SFA is currently the only organization representing Africa on this campus. It
follows that we have the responsibility to paint Africa in all her lights, socially,
politically, and culturally.
