Going to be in Boston this Summer?

Read on about a great opportunity to make an impact in the community and gain teaching experience!

Let's Get Ready (LGR), helps low income high school students achieve their college dreams by providing an eight-week rigorous SAT and college prep course. Every LGR program is both managed and staffed by college students who we believe have the potential to make an incredible difference in a student's life.
Read more about the organization here: http://www.letsgetready.org/

We are currently looking for enthusiastic college students to coach about 5-6 students during the summer. As a coach for LGR you will teach math, critical reading/writing, or college choice, and get a chance to improve the lives of others. You can teach all three, or two, or just one subject. It's all up to you!

The Program runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 12:45 PM- 3 PM, July 12- August 18, at the Boston Federal Reserve Bank (right across the street from South Station).
You only have to commit to one day a week to coach for the program!

**This is an opportunity to make a difference in many students lives who may not have had the same opportunities you have had**

Benefits: This is strictly volunteer work, but looks great on a resume and is a great way to give back to the community. LGR also has a partnership with Teach for America and experience with LGR can help boost your Teach for America application. If you're interested in education or are looking for a way to get to know some great kids, please consider applying.

Time Commitment: The time commitment is approximately 2-6 hours per week, depending on how many classes you want to coach.

Please do not hesitate to blitz Zoe Friedland (Zoe12) or this account if you have any questions about the position or the program.

p.s. If you would still like to be involved, but are not available during the coaching times, please blitz Zoe12 for more information!
