Born in Czechoslovakia in 1946, Professor Kohn received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Ph.D in Economics from MIT. He has worked as a visiting professor at various universities in the Czech Republic, Italy, Canada, Israel, Taiwan and Sweden, as well as at UCLA, Boston University and UC Berkeley; he has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, and most importantly, as Professor of Economics at Dartmouth since 1979.
