Dinner from Mai Thai will be served! This event is co-sponsored by Social Justice
Alliance.
The Discussion will cover the following topics, be sure to come with questions
as well!
1. What is fair trade? Who are the different actors in fair trade and what are
their motivations for being involved?
2. What are corporations' roles in the fair trade movement?
3. What are the benefits/losses of fair trade (economic and social)? How does
it help/hurt small producers/businesses?
4. Can we have both free and fair trade? Are free trade policies better for developing
countries than fair trade policies?
