*Dartmouth Stock Picking Competition 2011 presented by DSIE*
Looking to win some money? Seeking great investment experience?
Dartmouth Society of Investment & Economics will be hosting the first school-wide stock picking competition. The competition will be open to all current students for applications from groups of 1-4 students. Due to costs, DSIE will be limiting the entries to the top 30 applications following a review process of all entries based on perceived interest, focus and dedication to the competition as well as their current understanding of the capital markets. Participating students will then begin managing a portfolio of $1,000,000 in virtual money for a period of 6-7 weeks using the software on the website: http://www.stocktrak.com/. The participant with the best total return at the end of the competition will receive the primary cash prize and the participant with the best Sharpe ratio at the end of the competition will receive a secondary prize. Additionally, we will be hosting several informational sessions on investment for the participants throughout the competition. These sessions will be designed to educate the participants on the finer points of portfolio management and securities analysis.
*How to apply*
Please send in at least one paragraph detailing the experience of you and your group members and why you should be chosen to DSIE's blitz account. The executive board will review all of the applications submitted and choose the top 30 groups. The deadline is Wednesday, October 19th, 11:59 PM.
Winners will receive a cash prize and network with many important businessmen throughout the Upper Valley area who specialize in investment management.
Good luck!
