The desperate need to feed the world's 7 billion people, along with the rapid
spread of engineered organisms in the United States food industry, has catapulted
the issue of genetically modified crops to the forefront of national and global
dialogues.
The purpose of the first Ad Fontes forum ("From the source") is to engage the
Dartmouth community in dialogue, exploring the risks and benefits, the hopes and
fears, of a controversial technology.
