Hello everyone! Amnesty International of Dartmouth (Amnesty) will be
holding its first meeting of the term tonight at 8PM in Collis 219.
Amnesty is an international non-profit, non-partisan human rights organization.
In the past, we have directed activism
and awareness events including fundraisers, benefit concerts, and
discussions with professors; we have attended demonstrations in
New York City and regional conferences in Boston. We have tackled issues
including Darfur, Guantanamo Bay, sex trafficking, prisoners of conscience
and the death penalty.
Come hear more about our plans for the fall term and how you can be a
part of them. We'll be discussing:
--Awareness events
--Fundraisers
--Tie-Dye
--Off-Campus coordination
--Urgent Action needed in Zimbabwe
-- ELECTIONS for open positions on our executive board (15s are
welcome to run!).
We would also love to hear your ideas for events and actions. The
effectiveness of our group can only go so far without the open
exchange of fresh ideas.
--See you there!
