Dartmouth Organic Farm
When: 12:30-1:30pm

this fall and how you can get involved in all that (it's easy)!

Environmental Conservation Organization
When: 7:30pm
Where: Robo basement
What: The Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO) is one of Dartmouth's
oldest environmental groups. ECO is focused on enacting change on campus to address
local environmental issues such as recycling, composting, and energy efficiency.
Come check us out!!!

Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering meeting
When: 8pm
Where: Spanos Auditorium, Thayer
What: DHE is an award-winning, impact-driven organization comprised of students
from every year and most majors. Come learn about our projects, including hydropower,
fuel-efficient cookstoves, and water sanitation in Rwanda and Tanzania, and how
you can get involved! DHE is NOT just for engineers. We need passionate students
in a variety of different fields.

Thursday, Oct. 20th
**************
Ecovores meeting
When: 6:30pm
Where: the SLC
What: Find out how you can get involved with sustainable food on campus, eat a
delectable home cooked meal and talk to people who are interested in food issues.
Because food is awesome! And so are you!

Screening of "Fresh"
When: 7pm
Where: The Gathering Room, Upstairs at the Upper Valley Co-op in White River Juction,

What: Documentary celebrating the farmers, thinkers and business people across
America who are re-inventing our food system. Each has witnessed the rapid transformation
of our agriculture into an industrial model, and confronted the consequences:
food contamination, environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and
morbid obesity. Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical
vision for a future of our food and our planet. Discussion afterward. All free!

Ongoing:
* Friend us on facebook! Just search Dartmouth Sustainability or go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dartmouth-Sustainability/190425884324950
* Have stuff you want to sell or buy? Check out dartlist.com, like craigslist
but for the Dartmouth community!
*MAPLE SUGARING: Leaders Wanted!
Have a sweet tooth? Every year, the farm participates in a classic New
England tradition: boiling the sap of the sugar maple to produce syrup. This
does not happen until the spring thaw, but it is never too early to think
about this sweet stuff! There will be a short hike (soon) for potential
leaders to check out the sugar house and pipeline and to figure out what
work needs to be done before the season. Blitz Sam Kernan if you have
questions or are interested in becoming a sugaring leader. And never fear,
there will be more opportunities to get involved and even lead.

Have a great homecoming! Go big green!!
