Wanted to go on an adventure? To use DOC money to do something really cool?
Now's your chance! Get DOC Shlitz funding.

1. Plan a really cool trip.

Trips should be outdoor adventures that reflect the mission of the club, and
recipients of money should be prepared to bring back new skills or experiences
that can enrich the DOC. It's pretty open - people have used Shlitz funding to
hike Kilimanjaro, to paddle in Alaska, to mountaineer in Canada...

2. Apply for Shlitz funding.

Applications are due NEXT SUNDAY, to Nancy Dietman via blitz. They should include
the coversheet, attached, as well as another document that includes lots of other
stuff:
What you want to do, where, with whom, for how long, and why. The more specific
the plan is, the smoother the process will be.
Risk management plan. What are the objective risks (i.e. remoteness, disease,
altitude, political situations, storms, etc...)? How do you propose to manage
them? What knowledge, skills, preparations, equipment, etc. do you have?
An analysis of how the trip will benefit the DOC long term, including a detailed
plan for sharing the experience with other club members.

3. Attend the Shlitz meeting Wednesday, the 11th!
