Sarah is out the office today, so there will be no walk-in hours this afternoon. However, with course selections happening this week, we know that many of you would like to meet with Sarah and Nicole to discuss your Summer and Fall courses. We will be having extra walk-in hours Tuesday - Thursday to help you with your course selection or anything else on your mind! (See schedule below). And as always, you are welcome to reach out to Rae at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> to schedule a meeting if you're unable to find a walk-in time that works for you.

Situational Judgement Tests
2024-2025 Cycle
March 2024

As you prepare to submit your primary application you need to know about another facet of the application process - the Situation Judgement Tests (SJTs). Situational Judgement Tests (SJT) aim to evaluate a person's personal and professional competencies<https://www.aamc.org/services/admissions-lifecycle/competencies-entering-medical-students>, with a focus on ethical problem-solving. SJTs are scenario-based tests that assess how you make "judgment calls," or in other words, how you think through a situation in real life using ethical and humanistic problem-solving. There are no right or wrong answers.

It was great to see many folks at last week's "Research: Finding, Funding, & Doing" workshop! Whether you were able to make it or not, we wanted to share the PPT slides and share a few reminders and resources here! You'll see in the slides that we talk about structured research programs that require an application and (what the majority of Dartmouth students do) "build your own opportunity" options by reaching out to folks doing research within and outside of Dartmouth. The PPT has several resources and TIPS!

Hi Folks!
We have an update from the Beth Israel Winter Ortho Internship folks. They've let us know they officially have up to 4 open positions for this winter with a stipend of $750 a month. Please see info below of how to apply. They are flexible with hours if someone needs a part time job to supplement. (PS! There was a different ortho internship advertised last week at Brigham and Women's). They are likely to have the same opportunities in the Spring. If you have Spring off, you can try applying early for the CPD Self funding for spring.
